Anna is a freelance photographer based in Sacramento, California. A life-long lover of words and the visual arts, she has worked in the newspaper industry as a writer, copy editor, part-time photographer and digital imaging technician.

Her photos, done in street photography style, encompass the balance between nature and humanity, capturing the ironies, humor, and nuances of the everyday. Her first real conscious exposure to photographs were the pages of National Geographic and Smithsonian magazines. Photographic influences include Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Sylvia Plachy, Matt Mahurin, Duane Michals, Keith Carter, Flor Garduno, and various photographers and photojournalists.
